French Petition Asking Barrack Obama To Become PRESIDENT OF FRANCE Gathering Momentum

As the French people get set to elect a new president in April, a website is calling on its readers to sign a petition to elect Barrack Obama. They claim to be unhappy with the current candidates and are making a last ditch attempt to recruit another contender, in this case, Barack Obama.

The Obama17 petition is currently circulating with the aim of gathering 1 million signatures to convince the former U.S. president to run for office in France. About 500 posters of Obama's face have been plastered across Paris in recent days, urging people to visit the petition website. The slogan reads: 'Oui on peut', which is French for 'Yes we can.'

'We wish to strike a blow by electing a foreign president at the head of our beautiful country,' the website reads.
